Post-Surgical Wound Infection — Clinical Case: Rapid Resolution with CDS Protocol

Template:Clinical case

Case Summary

Female patient who underwent surgery for calcaneal spur (excess bone on right heel) on February 29, 2024, which prevented walking due to pain. Two weeks post-surgery, 3 sutures came undone. Two weeks later, wound showed signs of infection with yellow discharge and had opened further. Podiatrist scheduled debridement and closure surgery for 8 days later. Patient initiated CDS treatment — oral (20 ml diluted in 1 liter, divided into 10 daily doses) and topical (undiluted concentrated CDS applied 4 times with 15-minute drying, then covered with sterile gauze and elastic bandage). At just 16 hours after initiating the protocol, the wound dried, discharge stopped, inflammation and pain had decreased almost completely, and the wound began healing.

Clinical History

Event date: February 29, 2024 to March 2024

Geographic context: United States

Treatment Applied

Oral Protocol C: 20 ml of CDS diluted in 1 liter of water, divided into 10 daily doses.

Protocol D: Undiluted concentrated CDS (0.3% / 3,000 ppm) applied topically 4 times daily, allowing 15 minutes to dry between applications.

Wound care: After topical CDS application, wound covered with sterile gauze and elastic bandage.

      1. Clinical Evolution

After 16 hours of CDS treatment: - Wound dried completely - Suppuration/discharge stopped - Inflammation decreased almost completely - Pain decreased almost completely - Wound began healing

Outcome: Wound healed successfully without the need for surgical debridement and closure that had been scheduled.

      1. Testimony Original

Patient (Maritza Kujundzic): "On February 29, 2024 I was operated on for a calcaneal spur (excess bone on the right heel) that prevented me from walking due to pain. Two weeks later 3 sutures came undone, but they recommended continuing without further repair and waiting for the wound to close on its own. 2 weeks later, the wound showed signs of infection with yellow discharge and had opened even more. My podiatrist scheduled surgery for debridement and closure for 8 days later. I began taking CDS orally, 20 ml diluted in 1 liter of water, divided into 10 doses per day, and also applying topical CDS concentrated (undiluted) 4 times (leaving to dry for 15 minutes) and then occluding the wound with sterile gauze with elastic bandage. At just 16 hours of initiating this protocol, the wound dried, there was no more discharge, the inflammation and pain had decreased almost completely and the [wound began healing]."
