The sister of a friend of mine has been battling lung cancer, which has unfortunately metastasized to her head, and she is currently in stage 4 of this devastating disease. I first shared information about CDL with her back in February, hoping it would provide some form of relief or support during this challenging time.

Just last Thursday, I had an appointment for an MRI scan focused on my head, and the results were astonishing. A total of 11 tumor sites that had previously been present in my head have completely disappeared, while 3 remaining sites are still detectable, though significantly smaller in size. Overwhelmed with emotion, I cried tears of happiness at this incredible news.

Since the end of February, I made the decision to stop chemotherapy altogether and to leave the hospital, choosing instead to solely rely on CDL for my treatment. The transformation I have experienced feels almost surreal; I can hardly believe the progress I have made.

It is particularly poignant for me as I reflect on the journey of my friend Simone, who tragically passed away on May 8. We both received our cancer diagnoses at nearly the same time, but unlike me, chemotherapy proved to be the right approach for her situation. Each of these experiences highlights the unpredictable nature of cancer and the different paths that those affected by it may take.
