O) OPHTHALMOLOGICAL (eye) and OTORRHINOLARYNGOLOGICAL (nasal)

● Protocol O: Eye and nose drops of 0,5 ml of CDS in 50 ml saline (NaCl 0.9%) with optional DMSO

Protocol O is a procedure that involves the preparation of an eye drop for ophthalmologic (eye) and ENT (nose) use with CDS (Chlorine Dioxide solution). This protocol is useful for treating various eye conditions and sinusitis. It can be applied to both eyes and nose, especially in cases of flu or sinusitis.

Instructions for Eye Drops Preparation:

• 50 ml of physiological saline (NaCl 0.9%).
• 0.5 ml of CDS (stabilized Chlorine Dioxide).
• Optionally, 0.3 ml of DMSO (70%).

Steps to follow: In a small glass bottle with a polyethylene dropper or in an ophthalmic dropper (made of HDPE, a harder plastic than rubber), mix 50 ml of saline saline, 0.5 ml of CDS and optionally 0.3 ml of DMSO (70%). Make sure that the ingredients are well mixed in the bottle.

Application Instructions: For eyes and nose:

For eye conditions or sinusitis, apply a few drops to the affected eye or nose every two hours.

Precautions: If the patient wears intraocular lenses, it is preferable not to use DMSO in the ophthalmic eye drops.

The solution should be stored in a cool, dark place. Its efficacy lasts approximately three days. After this time, the solution will rapidly lose efficacy and become clear. It is recommended to prepare a new solution if this transparent time has passed.

There is no risk of infection because CDS acts as a disinfectant liquid. It only loses efficacy over time.

Protocol O is an effective and safe option for treating ophthalmologic and otolaryngologic conditions. Be sure to follow the preparation and application instructions, as well as the recommended precautions.

Precautions: In patients with intraocular lenses, do not use DMSO. According to studies by medical specialists, CDS does not affect any type of intraocular lens.
