'''Patient (Javier Ortega Gil):''' "In 2019, before the Covid pandemic, I had several recurrent episodes of Escherichia coli infection in the urinary tract, which presented with fever, myalgia, headache, and general malaise. Another discomfort consisted of prostate inflammation, since at night I woke up to urinate up to 8 times, and the prostate antigen kept rising with each new infection manifestation, from 3 to 18 ng/ml during the last event. At that time they prescribed me antibiotic for 3 months and the infection apparently subsided, but soon after I would present the same picture again and the treatment was repeated with a different and more potent antibiotic, until the doctor informed me that no antibiotic was capable of combating that pathogen. In fact, he proposed surgery through the urethra to eliminate the lesions caused by the infection. Those days the pandemic was declared and the operation and I can't believe it."
